Cancer is increasingly threatening to be one of the major health problems. The degree of malignancy of a cancer is based upon the capacity of the cancer cells to metastasize. A metastasis is a neoplastic lesion arising from another cancer, with which it is no longer in contiguity. By determining the presence of early metastatic disease, treatment can often be designed, which can increase the chance for cure or delay the development of symptoms even if cure is not achievable.

Abstract

A metastasis is a neoplastic lesion arising from another cancer, with which it is no longer in contiguity. By determining the presence of early metastatic disease, treatment can often be designed, which can increase the chance for cure or delay the development of symptoms even if cure is not achievable.
