Relative Efficacy of Opaque-2 Maize in the Growth of Preschool Children

Over 85 per cent of the maize produced in India is consumed directly as food. The nutritional quality of maize protein is poor in view of its deficiency in two of the essential amino acids namely lysine and tryptophan, and excess of leucine.
