An Environmental Sanitation Plan for the Mediterranean Seaboard: Pollution and Human Health

The Interparliamentary Union, jointly with the Italian parliamentary authorities and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), organized a conference of coastal states on control of pollution in the Mediterranean, which was held in Rome, 29 March to 3 April 1974. One of the experts commissioned by UNEP to prepare the background documentation for the participants. Professor J. Brisou, drafted a report on the health implications of pollution in the Mediterranean. It is this report, supplemented and revised, which constitutes the substance of the present volume.
