Nutritional awareness is the content of mind that relates to the choice of discerning the food. When it comes to the health of children in the age group of 0-5 years, mothers' nutritional awareness plays the most important and major role. The level of nutritional awareness in such mothers can be measured in terms of correct knowledge of hygiene, posture and extent of breastfeeding, the right weaning practices, specific nutritional deficiencies, malnutrition and immunization. Practices and attitudes pertaining to child rearing, specially concerned with feeding of young children, hove a considerable impact on nutritional status and morbidity.
