Beneficial Effect of Hydrolysed Glucose-cycloacetoacetate on Carbohydrate Metabolism in High Saturated Fat Fed Animals
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Disturbances in carbohydrate metabolism caused by feeding high fat diet in animals are well known. Whitney and Roberts, and Samuel et al reported that rats maintained on a high fat diet generally have higher blood sugar levels than those on a high carbohydrate diet. Increased fasting glucose levels in men placed on a high fat diet have also been reported. Kowale et al have evidenced more deleterious effects on carbohydrate metabolism by feeding high saturated fat than high unsaturated fat to animals.
